Hi my name is John Snowden and welcome to the Snowden Photography web site. I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years and have undertaken most kinds of photographic work. I studied with the New York Institute of Photography and am now a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).I am based in Gosport, Hampshire which is situated between Southampton and Portsmouth but can work in any county or country. I cover Church and Civil weddings, Christenings, Events, Portraits (makeovers and portfolios) and Commercial work. I hold a CRB certificate which allows me to photograph at nurseries and schools. My studio is situated behind my house and has an area of 48 sq, metres. I have photographed family portraits of up to 15 people in this studio as well as four dogs that wouldn’t keep still. Other services I can offer are passport photos for any country, photo restoration and bespoke album designs.My main aim is to take great photos for my customers. I achieve this by making them feel relaxed and not pressured. Natural smiles are always more pleasing to the eye. Above all you have to have fun!When people come to the studio they usually admit to being nervous but after the sitting they say they have had a great time. This type of statement makes me feel that all the work I have put in is worthwhile. That is why I feel being a photographer is a fantastic job and so rewarding.
